A considered home for independent journalism.
Columnist brings a newspaper’s hierarchy to an independent publication: a strong lead, purposeful section pages and a reading experience that leaves room for the story.
What you are looking at
This is a demonstration edition. Every article, columnist and place name is invented, and none reports a real event. It exists so you can see how the theme handles a working front page, six homepage section layouts and every story format.
- Six section layouts on the homepage: briefing, grid, lead, timeline, opinion and columnists.
- Six story formats beyond the standard article: Opinion, Interview, Review, Photo Essay, Video and Live.
- Reader tools in every article: text size, light and dark appearance, saved stories, sharing and print.
- Membership pages, a searchable archive, a columnist directory and dropdown navigation.

Photographs are free-to-use images from Unsplash, credited to their photographers in each caption. They illustrate the mood of a story and do not depict the events described.
No subscription or purchase is needed to explore the demo. A real publication controls its own membership prices, content access and newsletters in Ghost.
