A shelter, a crossing, a bridge. These are places encountered between appointments, but they are not merely intervals. They decide whether an ordinary journey feels like a sequence of obstacles or a continuous part of public life.

## 01 / Waiting

A shelter makes a complicated system briefly visible. Routes meet, schedules become personal and a stranger’s patience becomes part of the street. Its public character is tested in the minutes between one vehicle and the next.

## 02 / Passage

A street is useful when it permits more than one pace. Some people need to cross quickly. Others need to pause, find their bearings or wait for someone. A successful public space can hold these uses without making the slower visitor feel like an obstruction.

## 03 / Pausing

The best crossings leave room to stop. A bridge with a bench, a railing that can hold a bicycle, a view that rewards a moment’s attention: none of these improves the timetable, but all of them improve the journey.

## 04 / Arriving

Stations are where a journey changes tense. What was ahead becomes behind; a plan becomes a place. A good one gives the arriving person a moment of orientation before asking them to decide anything.

Together these frames show the rhythm of a photo essay: a short opening, generous image widths, specific captions and text that gives each picture room to matter.
