Public-domain sample clip supplied by MDN Web Docs. No audio.

Not every video needs to compete with the pace of an alert. A short, quiet sequence can give a story a different rhythm. This one is a few seconds of flowers and a visiting bee, played in the browser without autoplay or a third-party tracking embed.

## Text alternative

The clip shows flowering plants in daylight, with a bee moving among the blooms. It has no dialogue or meaningful audio. This description makes the basic visual content available to readers who cannot see or play the video.

## Give the player a reason to be here

A video story still needs an introduction. Readers should know what they will see, why it matters and whether sound is essential. A headline and a player are not always enough to establish those things, especially for someone on a slow connection or using an assistive device.

The Video template keeps the article’s typography, byline and reader controls while giving the media room to lead. A publication using it would replace this sample with its own footage, with captions, a transcript and credits.
